Sustainable competitiveness of nations

The Global Sustainable Competitiveness Index measures current and future capability of countries (nation-economies) to generate and/or sustain financial and non-financial income and wealth for its population.
The Global Sustainable Competitiveness Index is based on 216 quantitative performance indicators, grouped in 6 pillars of sustainable competitiveness: natural capital, resource intensity, intellectual capital, social cohesien, business sustainability, and governance.

Objectivity

The Index is purely based on quantitative indicators, therefore excluding any subjectivity. It can be used as an alternative to the GDP, international credit ratings, as a measure of “green growth”, and sustainable development. Or just for curiosity.

The Index is published annually since 2012.
